Hello PC Upgrades, Bye Bye X-Box 360
As I already informed the world yesterday, my 3D card crapped out on my main PC. So I was basically more or less forced to buy a new 3D card, and while I was at it, I also picked up two 1024MB ram sticks, and a present for my brother. Totaling for almost 400 EUR, which is basically the X-Box 360 price. So a forced PC upgrade instead of buying an X-Box 360.
I don’t know yet if it’s for the better or for worse actually. On one hand side I really wanted to get an X-Box 360, if only for Mass Effect (no, I’m not one of those people who have to have an X-Box 360 for Halo, because quite frankly I don’t even like Halo). But on the other hand side, these new PC upgrades should mean I that I should be able to play Crysis, and other hardware hungry game titles that are coming out soon.
Oh yeah, before I forget, anyone interested in two 512MB matched sticks of DDR RAM? If not, I can just always keep them in my PC for nice 3GB of RAM.
3 commentsHalo Fanboys Are Nuts
I can’t believe how crazy some (most/all?) Halo fanboys are, creaming their pants over a single screenshot that was just posted. Yes, that’s right, Bungie just posted a single screenshot from Halo 3 and people are going nuts over. And it doesn’t even look that good at all, if you compare it to most PC games that are going to be released the same time as Halo 3 will be.

Though I will say this much, the single player graphics have gotten considerably better. At any rate they are much better than Halo 3 multiplayer graphics, which at their last stand were even sub par to most FPS games that are already out. But then again, what can one expect from a gaming console that is soon(is already?) going to start showing its old age.
3 commentsIs It Really Fashion?
Yes, I do know that most fashions shows aren’t really what most people would wear, but this one really takes the cake. I can’t even imagine wearing any of these creations. I don’t know the background of this thing, but whatever it is, it’s still crazy beyond reason.

“Let’s just throw some random politically loaded stuff and call it fashion!”. I wonder why they didn’t send out someone wearing an oil barrel. Surely they could have thought of a better way to make an anti-war message. This just cheapens it all. For even more ludicrous pictures from the show, have a look STATiC’s site.
No commentsÖBB Blows
I’m finally home and it’s already 22:00 (that’s 10pm for people without a proper clock ;)), and why am I so late home? Well because certain train network collapsed because of heavy winds. And it was really my luck that the first train that got stopped just as it was to leave Vienna was the train that I was on.
It has happened before of course, so no big deal I think to myself and get of the train as I’m told and decide to wait for them to fix things and for the trains to resume. Big mistake. Two hours later, still no news, and all that ÖBB(the train company) tells us is that all trains going in my direction are suspended.
Luckily for me, a family friend came to pick me up. As we arrived at the train station where I usually got off, I noticed that the parking lot was still filled with cars, and that there were still lots of bikes at the station. Which could mean only that a lot of people were still stuck in Vienna. Poor people, it’s already 22:30 and they are probably still standing there and waiting, hopefully they’ll be able to get home soon.
I really wonder what they built that rail infrastructure in Austria with. Pretty much 99% of the time it’s very reliable, but when crap does hit the fan, it’s not a fan but a turbine and it’s not just any crap, but dinosaur crap.
