Considering that I have pretty much played Jade Empire the whole day long, there aren’t really a lot of things that I could update the blog with. So I decided to make the best of it, and upload all the screenshots that I have taken so far from the game.

A word of warning though if you are going to have a look at the complete gallery. It contains spoilers, very big ones at it as well, so only view at your own risk. Or if you have already completed game. Though as always, I always forget to take screenshots when the best things are going down, like the fights in the arena, big elephant daemons, huge fights, and battling the Emperor comes to mind.

It’s Sunday evening so as usually I’m sitting here and doing some light work and surfing around for relaxation. Not a whole lot of interesting stuff out there at the moment, just the usual AJAX and CSS web2.0 whoring, and tutorials on how to make every page look and work the same way.

But there are still some sites out there that can be very pleasant and interesting to look at, if not only for their design then for their content. The Random Collections is one such site which I have recently discovered. The design of the site is top notch, though I must question the slightly odd choice of navigation between individual galleries at the top.

Now I know that there are hundreds of funny picture sites out there, and a lot of them have more content than this one as well, but contrary to all of those sites this one doesn’t bomb you with hundreds of ads and popups. Quite the contrary, the site and galleries are designed very well and the Google ad have been perfectly placed and styled to match the look of the site so that they aren’t distracting.

So yeah, big props to Baraskit for being different and making a “funny picture gallery” a pleasure to look at.

People often tell me that they are bored and don’t know what they should do. So why do I almost never say this? Well because I’m usually browsing one of the countless sites that I visit and participate in. One such site which I’d like to tell people about today is Worth 1000.

I imagine that a lot of you will probably know about this site, especially if you are a designer, or just happen to use Adobe Photoshop a lot for whatever reason. But still, most regular folk on the net don’t know about the site. So what is Worth 1000? It’s a site for people who love to alter pictures, and for people who like a good laugh, and/or would love to see some truly amazing picture editing skills.

Now, the above image isn’t really something very special. It’s not the best that Worth 1000 has to offer, it’s just an image that I like a lot, and it’s a good example. Worth 1000 has contests all the time, and each contest has a central theme. The theme for above image is Celebrities in Star Wars. There are many different and very varied themes.

So make sure to take your time and browse through all the contests that interest you. Just to name a few of my favourite contests, Evolution Gone Wild, Celebrity Star Wars, Animal Day Jobs, and Superhero ModRen. One could spend days and days looking at a lot of great pieces of work. Never ever boredom again.
