Great update today. I was browsing the net today at work(yes, that’s what I do for quite a sizeable chunk of my day at work) I found two really funny things. Now the first one isn’t really that surprising, it’s a fact that the Japanese culture is very different to that of the western world, as I have already posted previously on the blog.

So these bento boxes are no exception, though I must admit that some of them look really great. A bento box for those of you who don’t know is a single portion takeout meal mostly consisting of rice, meat or fish and vegetables, sometimes fruit. Now there’s this great site that has all sort of weird bento boxes, so those of you who want to see a Bill Gates bento box, or maybe an “upskirt” bento box be sure to have a look at This Justin and Rico & Coco sites.

Now to the second part of the post. Super Mario Doom, when two gaming giants collide. A modder from Peru has created a mod for Doom where you collect mushrooms, shells and coins and then proceed to kill all sorts of Mario universe inhabitants with the Doom weaponry. There is quite a funny video with this mod in action at The Last Boss, and as the blurb over there already says, it does indeed look like more fun than Doom 3.
