300 is one of the rare movies that I’m actually looking forward to going out to a cinema and watching. It’s based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller(of Sin City fame), which in turn is the retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas and 300 spartans fought to the death against Xerxes I and his massive army(estimated at 400,000).
Just a few days ago the new and final(?) trailer was released and it’s great. Overall an improvement on the first trailer, even though they cut my favourite part of the first trailer where Stelios says, “Then we’ll fight in the shade.” after being threatened by the persian emissary that their arrows will blot out the sun.
