Just got back from watching At World’s End, and it’s already very late, but still wanted to post what I thought of it, so here goes. At World’s End is the third and final (who knows really) movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Yun-Fat Chow and other great actors.
So what did I think of the movie? Well it’s great entertainment, I’ll say that much, but I’ll also say that I enjoyed the first two movies more than the third. Why? Most likely because the third one tries to do so many things in one movie, but it just doesn’t all fit in, so some parts are a bit rushed. At least that’s how they felt to me.
The actors did a good job as usual, especially Johnny Depp, who is more or less Pirates of the Caribbean. Without him the movies, would be quite mediocre at best. Sadly, Yun-Fat Chow’s role was a very small one, was hoping he’d get some more things to do, but was still pretty cool to see him as a pirate.
My recommendation? If you liked the first two, you’ll probably enjoy this one quite a bit as well. If you didn’t, well then you probably won’t like this one either, though I must say that the third movie is quite a bit more serious. But it remains true to itself, and as I said, is great entertainment.
I don’t know if it’s the food that I just had, or maybe I’m just too tired, but I really love Chewbacca’s blog at blogspot. I can’t even say what’s so funny about it, is it the pictures? The text? I don’t know but I can’t stop smiling.
Someone actually took their time to write three whole pages of that, and add quite a few pictures. The cool thing though is that the people are digging it, lots of comments. I wonder why I never come up with such great ideas.
Apparently, Halo 2 for Vista powered PCs has been delayed because of a thing they call “partial nudity”. Now I know that some (most?) of you would actually prefer that partial nudity would remain in the game. Unless of course it’s something like the picture bellow.
I kid you not, that is the reason why Halo 2 for Vista, has been delayed. And honestly I don’t know what to think about it. Sure it’s great that they have a sense of humour and all, but how can something like this slip past quality control? Though what I find even funnier is the fact that that error message looks a lot like Windows XP theme, and certainly not Vista’s Aero…
I have no idea how I managed to miss this one, but apparently in just 12 days Bethesda Softworks will release a teaser trailer for Fallout 3. They have also released a batch of artwork for it, some of it is really nice, and makes me feel all fuzzy that Bethesda picked up Fallout.
But even so, I can’t really lose the feeling that it will become Elder Scrolls 1000: Elves With Guns. But I trust that Bethesda knows better than to do something like that, and we can hopefully finally look forward to a good Fallout game, unlike the last two attempts by Interplay to milk the cow.
